  • Condition: Front cover os lightly wrinkled, with some corner bumping and edge wear. There is minor text bending. Back cover has a few small tears. Binding is tight, pages are clean. Maps are excellent/ A like-new example of this report with the exception of the relatively minor damage to the back cover. Note that the first and last photos show the actual text you will receive. The other photos are stock photos, but the maps are in that good condition.

    Mica Deposits of the Southeastern Piedmont, Parts 5 and 6, Shelby-Hickory District North Carolina, and Outlying Deposits in North Carolina.
    Published in 1953, this a rare item that is highly desirable to any mineral collector!. This is Volume 4 of a seven-volume series. I am currently offering some of the other volumes of this set in my store.
    This volume contains Parts 5 and 6 under one cover. It contains the 90-page book and all SEVEN of the original maps, all in excellent condition. Want to find out where there is a pegmatite that has beryl crystals over a foot in diameter? It's in here! One of the maps pinpoints 162 different mines, and another map pinpoints a further 38 mines, ALL BY NAME! That is two hundred mines! Descriptions and mineralogy for the mines are given in the text.
