    REDUCED FROM 9.00. Portrait Cameo of The Matriarch, Antique Circa 1890 Hand Carved Shell Cameo ,in Heraldic Renaissance Style Frame, Bezeled in Bronze Seed Beads.
    This fine Victorian Antique Carved Shell Cameo is so appropriately honored in a heraldic renaissance style frame of golden velvet over wood and gold leaf fleur des lis and trim decoration with oval metal insert. I purchased the antique cameo loose (no chips or cracks). I used a peyote stitch of bronze tiny seed beads of copper color, burgundy, silver and bronze are peyote stitched in benzel in ever tightening rings to secure cameo while keeping the back open & see-through exposed to light. Setting her into the beautiful frame.  So now, her setting is with the revere and adoration she so richly deserves.  The frame is not mint due to aging, some puckering of silk.
    The original cameo itself is large and measures 2 " x 1 1/2"". The whole frame ready to hang now measures 9 inches by 6 1/2" inches.
    The last picture is with light shinning through the back. The back is covered with brown felt except for center oval opening. If you would like a picture of the back, just email me.
