NYC New York City Transit Authority Subway Tokens: Small Y Cut Out 10 Pack

Approximately the size of a dime, the tokens pictured are the tokens you will receive. Issued in 1953 when the fare was raised from a dime to 15 cents and used until 1970, they were discontinued in 1970 when the fare was raised from 20 cents to 30 cents and the large Y cut was introduced. As can be seen in the pictures, saying these are in exceptionally nice condition would be an understatement. They are in original condition yet unblemished, with all their patina and character intact. Truly investment grade, appreciated by the collecting public more and more, as evidences by the increasing prices that they command. Just a few years ago, you could get 100 of these on eBay for 0.
