REDUCED . Antique Late 1800s Hand Carved in High Relief Lava Cameo in Filigree Patina Brass Bow with bronze glass Seed Beads handmade Setting Brooch, 2 1/3" Long x 7/8" Tall x 1/2" thick.
The lava is most likely from the Pompeii area.
It is a Wonderful Antique Victorian Hand Carved Lava Cameo purchased it loose & set it in these two wonderfully patina brass openwork findings. Then I embellished it with the tiniest bronze glass seed beads & added a brooch clasp to back.
. A wonderful little treasure this is. The woman has a beautifully carved period Hair style adorned with wheat or a feather at the crown and dress seen from neckline. Very artfully executed!!
Antique Lava Cameos are rare and hard to come by. Just imagine this cameo has been around for over 100 years! It is not new or mint. There are not noticeable chips except under magnification, no chips on the face. These ENLARGED close up pictures are part of the description.
