    LISTED FOR AUCTION TODAY IS A WONDERFUL VERY OLD 1860'S ERA CAMEO. IT IS UN-MARKED, WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 9.7 GRAMS AND MEASURES ABOUT 1 3/4" X 1 1/2". THE CLASSIC FRAME HAS A GOLD GILDED FINISH WITH TWISTED WIRE THAT SURROUNDS A BEZEL SET CARVE CAMEO. THE CAMEO MEASURES ABOUT 1 1/2" X 1 1/4" X 1mm THICK. VERY THIN WITH NICE DETAIL IT FEATURES A LADY DRESSED IN FULL SKIRT DRESS, HOUSES AND LANDSCAPING. IT HAS A BARREL WITH C CLASP, STRAIGHT PIN THAT EXTENDS ABOUT 1/4" BEYOND THE EDGE OF THE PIN. IT IS THE CORRECT PIN FOR THE PIECE AND IS HELD BY THE BARREL, CORRECT FOR THE TIME PERIOD BUT LOOSE IN THE BARREL. IT HAS CERTAINLY BEEN WORN AND THERE IS WEAR TO THE GILT FINISH, WONDERFUL PIECE EASILY OVER 150 YEARS OLD!
