    C. &. O. RY Brass Conductor Hat Badge
    The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway (reporting marks C&O, CO) was a Class I railroad formed in 1869 in Virginia from several smaller Virginia railroads began in the 19th century
    We can’t tell the age of the hat badge as there are no makers marks on the back of the badge, but we assume that it is from the early part of the 20

    century.
    It is in fairly good condition for the age of the item.  There are a couple of “dents” in the badge
    The badge measures 3 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches high.
